INGLOT GIVEAWAY!!!!!

Last week my blog turned 2,  in these last two years I have moved house 5 times moved country twice and two counties, dyed my hair 8 times, had 6 different jobs amongst everything else.

Through it all my blog has been there every step of the way, 168 posts later and more views and readers I could have ever imagined. I have blogged about lipsticks to skincare, clothes to single life, Ive gained more from blogging then I ever could have imagined and its opened so many doors for me. I have become apart of a community that has grown massively in the last two years but is still as supportive as the first day I entered into it. I have met some amazing fellow bloggers and some I am glad to be able to say are now my friends.

So to celebrate on turning two I wanted to hold a giveaway as I have not done one in over a year. Last week I headed into Inglot on South Anne Street and picked up a two pan palette that I thought would compliment the festive season ahead.
I chose Inglot Eyeshadow in 25 and New eyeshadow in 613.

Entry is through the Rafflecopter widget below, just do not forget to comment with your GFC or Bloglovin name and email.

Good Luck

Inglot Nail Enamel in #21

As you all know I am not  a major nail person. I have stubby little fingers which means I have stubby little nail, that never grow longer then the tops of my fingers. Also I am a culprit for chipped nail varnish that I leave for days at an end on my nails.Sometimes I do like painting my nails, even if I do make a mess of it and it goes all over my fingers, from afar they look exceptional!

I have never owned a red nail varnish, never ever! So when I received this little beauty in my goody bag from the south Anne street opening I was thrilled.

The polish itself looks very watery and I was afraid I would have to apply a good few coats. However to my surprise 2 was enough and I got some beautiful shiny red nails.

Longevity wise I got about 3 days wear out of it before any major chips appeared.

Inglot nail polishes retail at €10.

Inglot New Flagship Store on South Anne Street

Last night I had the pleasure to be invited to the bloggers launch of Inglots newest store on South Anne Street which is just off Grafton street. This is Inglot sixth store to open in Ireland with other stores/counters in Jervis, Dundrum, Liffey Valley, Blanchardstown and Limerick.

This new Flagship store will carry the whole Inglot Cosmetics Range as well as exclusive products such as the Mattifying Pressed and Loose Powder 3s and Zuca Cases which are luxury makeup cases on wheels. This store also has a makeover studio, brow bar,  spacious private makeover studio.

This new studio will host makeup parties, bridal parties, makeup courses and professional makeup master classes. The first of which is with International Makeup Artist Jon Hennessey, with a client list of Alicia Keys to Helena Christensen and appeared in Elle and Marie Clare just to name a few. Jon will be flying over from Canada to host two Makeup Masterclasses on the 2nd and 3rd of October. The cost is €50 and are advised to book in advance as places are limited.

The store will open its doors to the public this morning at 11 with goodie bags for its first 50 customers. I would really suggest popping along even just to see the store. As always Inglot has gone with black and white decor which makes the color of all the cosmetics truly pop. It really is a beautiful store and I can see this becoming my go to Inglot store.

#SBBC Day 3: Makeup Travel Essentials

Honestly when I go travelling I tend to bring everything but I usually go travelling for a good few weeks /months rather then short periods of time. So I had to sit down and have a think about this topic. I had to scale back and just think of the necessities and stuff that would easily pack away in a small suitcase.

Firstly I decided on brushes, easy part I know, I only have one face so I knew I would not need that many. I decided on my Real Techniques expert face brush for my foundation and maybe cream blush, my Real Techniques Powder Brush, and  Royal and Langnickel Angled Blush Brush.
For eyes I choose my Crown  badger hair IB119 Deluxe Crease Brush, my larger Crown blending brush that I got at Imats which can be seen here in my Imats Haul.
Another Crown Brush I would bring along is my C158 Angle Liner/ Spoolie brush. By bringing this brush I can use it for not only my gel liner but with a bit of spot cleaning can also be used for eyebrows as well.
Last but not least I would bring a lip brush for application of my Lime Crime Red Velveteen.

For Face I would bring my MAC N2 Face and Body and also for night time application I would mix in some Revlon Color Stay in 110 Ivory for a full coverage.
I would bring two concealers my MUA Cosmetics Cover and Conceal for under the eye in fair and Collection 16hr concealer in fair 1 for blemish covering.
Fit Me face powder in 125.
For contouring MUA bronzer in shade 3.
10 pan Blush Pan that I bought from Crown but can be bought elsewhere check out my blog post on it here.

For eyes I would bring my Urban Decay Basic Palette for basic eyes during the day and can be easily  changed into a smokey eye on the night.
Also I would bring my 10 pan Inglot Eyeshadow palette so I have some colours to play around with.
Gel liner I would bring my favourite Inglot in 71.
For Mascara it would have to be Pur Cosmetics Big Blink Mascara.

For Lips I would bring just 3 colors a red, nude and dark purple also I popped my MUA cream blush in the bag as I can use it as a lip and cheek colour.

For moisturiser I choose my small size Kiehl's Skin Rescuer which can be easily packed away in my travel bag.
Also packed my Merumaya Melting Cleansing Balm for my makeup removing and daily cleanse.  Its quick and easy to use and last thing you want while away is to spend ages before bed taking off makeup so this is great.

Day 2 of #SBBC: Favourite Eyeshadow Palette

So I had decided to write about my ten pan Inglot palette mainly because I use it everyday for my eyebrows and the black for smokey eyes but I then realised I would only use another one or two of the remaining eight maybe once a week. So I start looking through my other palettes and then decided to write about my Urban Decay Naked Basic palette that I carry with me all the time because it holds the necessities, but then it hit me my 120 palette is hands down my favourite.

It's part of my everyday makeup routine that I have become so custom with it I almost forget I even use it. It's been mentioned many times here on the blog and where I got it so I will not go into to much details, but for the newbies of #SBBC it was a bargain for less then €7 on eBay about 2 years ago now.

As you can see I have hit pan on quite a few and completely used up every last dust of colour in a few. I have taken it on shoots and used it on many area of the face not just the body. It's been through the mill and has been dropped countless times, it's how I lost the electric blue colour that has hit pan, but the outside casing is still in one piece and not even a scratch on it.

Some of the colours still remain untouched to this day as I have yet to think of a new eye look to use them in, as I can be a one trick pony when I find a new eye look I like ( at the moment I am loving the red/cranberry at top right on the left side).

It's hard to imagine ever getting to the end of this palette and I will probably repurchase it before it happens just so I can have some of my favourite colours back. If your looking for a all rounder palette or you are just starting out using makeup and want to experiment then I certainly recommend the 120 palette.

What's your favourite eyeshadow palette?

My IMATS London 2013 Experience

Source

Since becoming a Makeup Artist going to Imats has always been something I wanted to do.  After watching all the vlogs and reading all the blog posts from London Imats 2012 I blatantly told my best friend and fellow MUA Amy that nothing was stopping us going in 2013. This year they decided to to move the show to June as the snow in January 2012 was horrendous. Me and Amy had to wait a whole 18 months for the show it killed us!

Our day started at six o'clock Saturday morning (well mine started 12 hours before that but if I talk about that it will turn into a rant.) Me and Amy had decided to fly over in the morning and fly back in the evening to give us more money to play around with shopping. We flew into Gatwick Airport at half nine and headed straight into the train station. The station is in the airport so pretty simply to catch the train. I had pre-booked our tickets online so I had our whole journey planned our prior to arriving. We had to get a train to Clapham Junction and then from there to Kensington Olympia. Clapham Junction is Crazy confusing with 17 different platforms trains arriving every minute enclosed underground tunnels, you think Connolly station is busy you have seen nothing yet. With a quick pit stop to the shop for some energy drinks and oaty breakfast bar we hoped on the train to Kensington and 10 minutes later we were at Imats.

There was a little queue outside when we got there as even though we had our online tickets you still had to register at the door. When we arrived there at 11am the show was in full swing and the hall was quickly filling up. We had a little walk around first, got lay of the land a bit and decided to head to M.A.C first as it looked quite busy.

M.A.C had one of the biggest stands in the centre of the room. Each side had a till in the centre and the corners had 4 mini stands. Each stand had 4/5 sales assistants standing by them. The mini stands each had different products. One foundation, one lipstick and lip pencils, one eye shadows and blushers and one with all their other products. Amy had a long list for each section. Me myself only wanted some foundation so I left her to it. I headed straight to its mini stand and was quickly served by a very friendly lad with floppy hair and a tan. He popped my foundations in a bag and gave me a ticket and to go stand in the till queue.

The queue was atrocious there was only 15 ahead of me but it took an hour to get to the top as they were handling Mac Pro card applications at the till. Frankly I think they should of had a separate till for it as it just held things up significantly. During this time the hall got even busier and the heat got unbearable.

From there we went onto Love Makeup I could not get into to see anything so decided to pop back a while later. We headed to Inglot only to find it was basically cheaper to shop at home with our pro discount. I picked up one thing but only because I needed it ASAP. Otherwise we both left disappointed from Inglot.

We then headed to Stargazer. They had a great selection of products and some good bargains so I scooped up a few things. From there we headed to Makeup Forever.

I did not need anything but Amy had a little list, unfortunately she did not have a great experience here. The stand was pretty busy but the customer service was not up to par. I stood away from the stand but could see the sales assistants standing in the middle of the stand having a chinwag and poor Amy been one of many trying to get their attention. After 25 minutes she left the stand with no products and in the height of it.

We headed to Crown Brush one of our favourite stands at the Irish Beauty Show. We both wanted a palette and I picked up a few brushes even though I have near 200, can never have enough!

Next onto Royal and Langnickel where Amy picked up a brush set for herself and I restrained myself and only got one brush.

I headed back to Love Makeup and picked up some Lime Crime goodies. I really wanted a Pigment from Sugapill and the powder brush from Real Techniques but they had sold out of both. Can I just say the women that served me was extremely friendly and helpful and got me the last Lime Crime lipstick in the shade I wanted.

I then went onto to Charles Fox and picked up some Special Effects goodies. Their prices were super and the stand was not to packed either so I was in and out in a jiffy.

Amy hit a few more smaller stands to pick up stencils and paints and I had a look around some other brush stands looking for the perfect powder brush but alas I had yet to find one that matches my LA Makeup one.

The hall was extremely crowded now and me and Amy had small wheelie suitcases. This seemed to annoy some other fellow shoppers even though we tried really hard to manoeuvre where the crowds were dense and if we had to squeeze through people we lifted the cases. We decided to head back to Makeup Forever so Amy could give them another go hoping for better service.

I stood to the side and waited 40 minutes for her to reemerge during this time I caught glimpses of Fleur de Force, BeautyCrush and Sprinkle of Glitter. I was a bit star struck and did not go say hi which I am kicking myself over. Crowds of young girls crowded around them for pictures and chats. I barely saw them move in the 40 minutes they were close to me every time they tried to approach a stand they were quickly surrounded by another group of girls. I kind of felt for them in a way.

Amy soon emerged and we decided to leave we were tired and extremely warm and needed some food. It was only past 3pm. I did not attend any talks which I am a bit disappointed about but I missed the one I really wanted to go to waiting at the M.A.C stand and my concentration was gone for the later ones.

Me and Amy's plan is to head to Canada next year on a work visa so London IMATS is not on the cards but we do plan to hit the Vancouver one in Canada except this time we will plan to do it a little different. We plan on on getting our Makeup Artist Gold Pro card which entitles us to head to the Pro only event. Which means easier more relaxed shopping and not so many people.  Also I am going to write a better list heading to the busy stands i.e M.A.C with a list means faster service as the assistant takes your list and gets your products.

I did not take many pictures but here is a few I did take of the amazing work created at IMATS.

At the Makeup Forever Stand

This was at the Mehron stand it was my favourite of the day till I saw the one below.

This was at the Makeup Atelier Paris stand. Not only did she have 3d skulls on her buttocks and breasts she glowed in the dark it was just fantastic.

I nearly forgot to mention I met the fantastic Laura from All Made Up 21 on the day. It was great to see a fellow blogger over there and I know she got some goodies while she was there so keep an eye out  for her haul.

My Haul will be appearing on my Youtube Channel probably Monday or Tuesday so keep an eye out its a big one!

Face of the Night: Purple Smoke

Another work makeup face. I try to keep it all about the eyes in work as going for a strong lip is no use as it gets so busy I never get to top up the lippy. So smokey eyes and nude lips work best. Faces of December/ Christmas/New Years

Another faces post, I rather like doing these more then face of the day post so I will probably do these monthly from now on. As some of you might not know I work in a nightclub and a little requirement is to dress to impress or as my manager puts it "Sex Sells". Some of you my find that derogatory but the fact is I adore my job and getting to play around with looks that I may only get to wear when I am heading out with the girlos is soo much fun! And frankly all I do is serve drinks and throw a few bottles around!

New year I said I needed to start experimenting more with colors and start wearing blue which is a color I can not stand for some reason and try veer away from my normal smokey eye look. Slowly but surely I am getting there and I am even wearing out the blue in public.

So here is the looks any questions just leave them in the comments box or requests for tutorials!

New Eyebrows! Mini tutorial

Here is a picture from March and as you can see my eyebrows have never even been a bit related let alone sisters! I finally got sick of looking at these monstrosities and attacked them with the tweezers. This could have gone totally wrong but luckily it did not and now I have brows I am proud of and have received  many compliments about them.

As you can see I got rid of most of the bulkiness at the front of the eyebrow, keeping the inside to arch the same width and then thinning out from the arch to the end of eyebrow.

I first lightly draw the shape I want my brows to be using Inglot Brow gel 571 using a slanted eyebrow brush.

I then fill in the whole brow with the gel.

Using a matte brown from my 120 palette I fill in the brows keeping to the shape I created.

Finished brows! These are my day brows would you like a post on my night brows?

Products used:

Matte brown from 120 palette nearly gone so have invested in a brown from NYX which should be here next week.

Inglot brow gel 571

Slanted eyebrow brush from LA Makeup

Gel and powder can clog up brush so giving the brush a little clean everyday is recommended
