Graduation Day- What I Wore

 If you follow me on Facebook you might have seen on Friday that I graduated. This was my graduation for Beauty Therapy Year 1 as I am currently studying Year 2. I had a great day and night with family and friends.

I have to say a big thank you to Kiera from Just the F Word Blog for her fashion posts on Facebook as when it comes to shopping for clothes for myself I hate it. All the searching, trying things on, getting frustrated ( this always happens). I just end up going home empty handed and having to spend hours searching online and then not knowing weather it is going fit until delivery. A few weeks back Kiera posted dresses from Forever 21 and I instantly screenshotted them and headed into town a few days later and picked up my graduation dress with no fuss at all. What made it even better the dress was a bargain at €14.95!

Never one to follow the norm I always like to change up my style when ever I head out, from cocktail dresses to rock chick studs, I literally just throw on what I am feeling. This outfit just popped into my head last Tuesday and I decided to just go with it.

 

OOTN: Skulls and Bows

This is my outfit for work last Friday, I can wear whatever I choose as long as its primarily black for work. Sometimes its actually a nightmare not having a uniform because as a women we are constantly indecisive and  my room gets covered in clothes every Friday and Saturday night. Last Friday I choose my over sized skull top from Awear which I tied at the back. As a skirt I wore my body con Berska strapless dress which I have had for a few years now, its a staple in my wardrobe. I wore my high top studded trainers from Penneys which I picked up last week for work. I rolled my hair in Sleep in Rollers and styled it with a hair scarf from New Look.

Birthday Outfit Of The Night

It was my 23rd birthday on Paddy's Day but working as a bartender means I've never had my birthday off. So organised my birthday night out for Tuesday.

I spent two days trekking all over Dublin city searching for the "perfect dress". With no prevail I started looking online. Just before Christmas I won a €500 voucher from Awear. Slowly bit surely the voucher has been dwindling down and there is only €50 left. I had seen this dress in the sale in January but they only had it in a size 8 and I knew it would never fit.

Lately though I have been working my little booty off to tone up. Now I am not gonna go into too much detail but in over a year and half I have lost just about 3 stone and a stone of that has been since Christmas. I decided that I should order this dress and I had every finger crossed that it would fit. It arrived last Friday (Awear.com do great next day delivery) with a pack of sweeties as well. All my stress went away when the zip effortlessly closed and I realised I was in a size 8 dress. I then did one of those crazy happy dance around my house ( luckily nobody was home).

The dress is lace on top half and skater style leather skirt on the bottom.
To accessorize the the dress I picked up the black and gold belt in Penneys,

 as well as the balconette style bra and matching undies which are part of the new vintage boudoir lingerie collection in Penneys.

The black and gold necklace I borrowed from a friend which she got in Penneys last October. The earrings I picked up in Penneys also which matched the necklace perfectly.

For a pop of color I choose to wear my River Island floral heels I bought last year.

I had an amazing party, and had one the best birthdays in the work even though I dropped my phone in a bucket of water and fratured my finger. It would not be my birthday if crazy things did not happen!

OOTN: Crosses and Studs

I have not done an outfit of the day/night in so long, mostly because of I still have no tripod and there's no one ever around to take pictures of me when I first get ready. So before I got dressed on Saturday for work I decided to snap my outfit.

The shorts I picked up in Penneys for only €13 on Saturday and the heel trainers for €9 just after Christmas. They are the comfiest runners ever. The tights were only €3.50, they laddered before I even made it to work:(

The crop top was only €5 in that 40 degrees shop on Henry street.

The earrings and black bangles are from river island and the tiger print ones are from new look.

OOTD- Buttoned Up And Frilled Out

Went on a little shopping trip today o pick up some much needed things for the big move on Sunday. The weather here is horrid, gale force winds, rain showers and hale stones, but I never ever dress for the weather I just wear what I feel like even if it means wet toes!

OOTD-Spot Me Out!

On Sunday it was my nieces 1st Birthday Party and seeing as shes the first grandchild it was a big celebration. I borrowed this dress off my friend Sarah as day dresses are not really stuff I possess and the ones I have are ones I already worn at family gatherings. I received loads of compliments on the dress so I taught it needed to be showcased on the blog!

OOTD- Wind Blown

Last week I was announcing the Irish summer on the blog as I said it lasts a week and then were back to crappy weather. Well its now snowing in parts of Ireland I know crazy rite? 

There was like gale force winds this morning so my very pretty doughnut bun got destroyed in the winds, so excuse the hair! Got a tripod for my new camera yesterday and I am still trying to figure it out hence the tilted pictures and still trying to figure out the camera hence the closed eyed pictures but I took a few and these showed the outfit best.

Pink Panda!!!

I headed to the beauty show this week in the RDS!!! I was a bit sceptical after the October one which was absolutely crap!!!It was completely aimed at beauty therapy and there was nothing there for me. Also I wished they would change how they name you on your card, I swear no offence to beauty therapists but the one thing hate , is been called a therapist when I am a makeup artist! I|t does not go down with me well! Rant over!! But this show was brill I did go with a list in hand but I think if you do not end up sending unnecessary pennies!

Outfit of the day was casual but still showed off my style. I know I blog about this jumper to death, but I love it and its so comfortable!

Face was pretty sheer with a hint of sleek rose gold blush and Viva Glam By Nicki Minaj  on the lips.
