In Love with Avons Moroccan Argan Oil Haircare!

As you all know I am a big fan of Avon, and my reviews on their products are some of my most popular on the blog. So when I got some Avon goodies off my two nieces for Christmas I was super delighted. In this bundle was the Avon Moroccan Argan Oil shampoo, conditioner and leave in treatment. So Christmas morning after all the kiddies presents were open and I had a little snooze( as you know I work nights so waking up on Christmas morn at 9 am was tough) I hoped in the shower with my goodies!

Seeing my sister had already had some of the shampoo and conditioner in open I used hers instead ( sorry sis!) sure it's the same stuff. Washed my hair as normal left the conditioner in for two minutes and rinsed out. Towel dried my hair and popped a good malteeser size amount of the leave in treatment in my hand rubbed together and rubbed and combed through out my hair. Blow dried as normal and then I popped into a plait. I was so distracted by the thoughts of dinner I literally forgot about thinking about the product and how my hair was! So Stephens morning was when I noticed it was still really shiny and soft and smelled good even though I was in the kitchen most of Christmas morning.

So this morning I did the whole routine again and by gosh my hair is looking great. It's so shiny and smooth even with the gales out there. After blow drying it barely kinked out which surprised me because since the balayage it has not been staying straight as it used to and was becoming very dry. So now I am in love and I think this will be my go to hair care for the next while anyway.

Merry Christmas

Quick post to wish all my lovely followers a Merry Christmas. Hope you all had a joyous time and got to spend it with the people you love. And if Santy was good to you that's a bonus too!

I finally made it down to Wexford Christmas Eve and have to head back up early tomorrow but it all made it worth while seeing my nieces face this morning when I gave her tricycle. I got some lovely gifts that I will share with you soon.

Thanks for all you support this year!

My Sleek Eye Dust Collection *Picture Heavy*

I have to bought any beauty products lately so I have had no haul posts or reviews to do so I was a bit unsure what to blog about! Then I realised I have a tonne of products you have never even seen and I may not have mentioned even. One of which is my Sleek Eye Dust collection e.g pigments. I have 11 in total and I grab for them a lot especially for nights out and dramatic makeup.

Pigments are one of my all time favorite makeup product, they are so versatile! They can be used wet or dry, mixed with lipgloss then can b used on lips as well as eyes. Irresdescent shades can be used as highlighter i.e MAC Vanilla Pigment. The possibilities are endless!

I have got all my eye dusts on beautyemporium.ie but unfortunately they are no longer available on the website but they can be purchased on Sleek's website

Now for my collection each. There are two swatches of each the one on left is dry swatch and right is wet swatch.

This is matte, my arm is just full of glitter from previous swatches

New Eyebrows! Mini tutorial

Here is a picture from March and as you can see my eyebrows have never even been a bit related let alone sisters! I finally got sick of looking at these monstrosities and attacked them with the tweezers. This could have gone totally wrong but luckily it did not and now I have brows I am proud of and have received  many compliments about them.

As you can see I got rid of most of the bulkiness at the front of the eyebrow, keeping the inside to arch the same width and then thinning out from the arch to the end of eyebrow.

I first lightly draw the shape I want my brows to be using Inglot Brow gel 571 using a slanted eyebrow brush.

I then fill in the whole brow with the gel.

Using a matte brown from my 120 palette I fill in the brows keeping to the shape I created.

Finished brows! These are my day brows would you like a post on my night brows?

Products used:

Matte brown from 120 palette nearly gone so have invested in a brown from NYX which should be here next week.

Inglot brow gel 571

Slanted eyebrow brush from LA Makeup

Gel and powder can clog up brush so giving the brush a little clean everyday is recommended

Christmas Blogger Meetup

The fabulous Adoreabubbles aka Sarah organised our Christmas Meetup this year. This is my second meet up as I went to the one in Cork the day before I went to Portugal. First off I would like to thank Sarah for organising a great day and how organised and calm she was incredible ( if it was me I would be a wreck) but dressed up to the nines in her festive gear she was as calm as a cucumber and as organised and as welcoming as ever.

On the day there was around 40 of us, which I was completely in shock about and there's even more then arrived on the day, there must be at least around 100 Irish Beauty Bloggers and Vloggers at this stage. Which is great to see our little community growing and be able to interact with people of similar interests as our own. I saw some familiar faces and some new ones I had never met before so it was great to check out some new blogs on Sunday (my lazy day) and found some actual gems!
Niamh Martin of Nima Brush
The day started off in Russel Court Hotel on Harcourt Street, where we all crowded into the warm library room for some inspiring talks from Niamh Martin and Marissa Carter. I heard of Niamh through the makeup business and had heard about her line of makeup brushes. I am always a bit sceptical about brushes I can not feel or touch which is why I buy most of mine from beauty sand in store but after sampling Niamh's brushes on Saturday they are defiantly on my to buy list in the new year. She also showed us the Magic Mitt  which I was in awe of but there will be more on that in a later post and a video because seeing is believing with these things! Niamh is defiantly a homegrown inspiration to any Irish Makeup Artist and if you have yet to hear about her check her out on Facebook and Twitter.
Marissa Carter of Carter Beauty and Cocoa Brown Tan

Next we had a talk from Marissa Carter of Carter Beauty in Blackrock and of the new Cocoa Brown Tan that has just hit our shelves. Now I have yet to try the tan( I will be tomorrow before a staff night out) but first impressions of it from Saturday get the thumbs up from me. Marissa is completely delightful and a great representation of what an Irish working women is today. She is glamorous, fashionable and so driven in her passion for her brand. We all sat in awe of her on Saturday and I do not think one blogger left without feeling inspired.
Emma of Fluff and Fripperies

We then all had a little mingle with each other raging I did not make it around the room I missed out on saying hi to so many girls. We then had little talks from Emma from Fluff and Fripperies, Kat and Rochelle from Dolly Rouge and Elaine from Misse Blog about design and loving your blog and technical stuff to do with your blog.
Some of the bloggers and their cocktails

14 of us then headed to Lush to have a browse around and Sarah aka Princesswatshername found out what the word moth was and then we headed to Hard Rock Cafe for Cocktails and dinner.
I had a bud because I am such a man!

I had a great day and was amazing to see some old faces and new faces. I finally feel back in the loop of this blogging world as since I have come back I kind of felt a bit lost in it all and this is mainly why the blog has not been updated that much. But that passion I had before is back and them little things I was worrying about aka losing my tripod are just minor bumps along the road.
