2014 Beauty Goals

Picture from link
The other day I posted my goals for 2014, I decided to write a quick list of my beauty resolutions, I am obsessed with beauty and clothes and makeup as is every #bblogger and some times you need to set yourself a few guidelines.

Picture from Link

  1. Mascaras, I can only open one every three months, even if I buy or receive ones within the same three months I must not open it till the one I am using dries up or the three months is up. The only exception to this rule is when a mascara is so awful and gives you eyelashes to give Spidermans webs a run for his money you may dispose of it in the bin and open a new one.

  2.  What looks good on other people/bloggers, may not look good on you, try things on and stop shopping with your eyes. Remember you are a midget with really short legs and mini skirts are maxi skirts on you.
  3. Find a moisturiser that works for you and stop going back to your "old reliable" it does not work for you and is no longer reliable.
  4. Learn to use liquid eyeliner, gel liner is not the be all and end all.
  5. Review your brushes you have over 200 of them let people how good or bad they are.

  6. Bigger brows are better, no matter what crazy thoughts come into your head! Remember how long it took to grow them back!
  7. Bring a makeup bag everywhere, you never know where you end up or what might happen. If you forget your foundation again, a little improvisation with concealer, powder and moisturiser works wonders.
  8. Dare say you may forget it all always carry a spare eyebrow pencil because you can go anywhere with no makeup but not with no eyebrows.
  9. Find a good shampoo and conditioner buy a stockpile of them because remember what happened to Avon Argan Oil Shampoo, actually in general remember what happened to all of Avon!
  10. You must use who a whole eye shadow this year and not the one you use on your brows and not any black eye shadows either.

Hope you like my beauty goals of 2014!

#SBBC Day 3: Makeup Travel Essentials

Honestly when I go travelling I tend to bring everything but I usually go travelling for a good few weeks /months rather then short periods of time. So I had to sit down and have a think about this topic. I had to scale back and just think of the necessities and stuff that would easily pack away in a small suitcase.

Firstly I decided on brushes, easy part I know, I only have one face so I knew I would not need that many. I decided on my Real Techniques expert face brush for my foundation and maybe cream blush, my Real Techniques Powder Brush, and  Royal and Langnickel Angled Blush Brush.
For eyes I choose my Crown  badger hair IB119 Deluxe Crease Brush, my larger Crown blending brush that I got at Imats which can be seen here in my Imats Haul.
Another Crown Brush I would bring along is my C158 Angle Liner/ Spoolie brush. By bringing this brush I can use it for not only my gel liner but with a bit of spot cleaning can also be used for eyebrows as well.
Last but not least I would bring a lip brush for application of my Lime Crime Red Velveteen.

For Face I would bring my MAC N2 Face and Body and also for night time application I would mix in some Revlon Color Stay in 110 Ivory for a full coverage.
I would bring two concealers my MUA Cosmetics Cover and Conceal for under the eye in fair and Collection 16hr concealer in fair 1 for blemish covering.
Fit Me face powder in 125.
For contouring MUA bronzer in shade 3.
10 pan Blush Pan that I bought from Crown but can be bought elsewhere check out my blog post on it here.

For eyes I would bring my Urban Decay Basic Palette for basic eyes during the day and can be easily  changed into a smokey eye on the night.
Also I would bring my 10 pan Inglot Eyeshadow palette so I have some colours to play around with.
Gel liner I would bring my favourite Inglot in 71.
For Mascara it would have to be Pur Cosmetics Big Blink Mascara.

For Lips I would bring just 3 colors a red, nude and dark purple also I popped my MUA cream blush in the bag as I can use it as a lip and cheek colour.

For moisturiser I choose my small size Kiehl's Skin Rescuer which can be easily packed away in my travel bag.
Also packed my Merumaya Melting Cleansing Balm for my makeup removing and daily cleanse.  Its quick and easy to use and last thing you want while away is to spend ages before bed taking off makeup so this is great.

In Love with Avons Moroccan Argan Oil Haircare!

As you all know I am a big fan of Avon, and my reviews on their products are some of my most popular on the blog. So when I got some Avon goodies off my two nieces for Christmas I was super delighted. In this bundle was the Avon Moroccan Argan Oil shampoo, conditioner and leave in treatment. So Christmas morning after all the kiddies presents were open and I had a little snooze( as you know I work nights so waking up on Christmas morn at 9 am was tough) I hoped in the shower with my goodies!

Seeing my sister had already had some of the shampoo and conditioner in open I used hers instead ( sorry sis!) sure it's the same stuff. Washed my hair as normal left the conditioner in for two minutes and rinsed out. Towel dried my hair and popped a good malteeser size amount of the leave in treatment in my hand rubbed together and rubbed and combed through out my hair. Blow dried as normal and then I popped into a plait. I was so distracted by the thoughts of dinner I literally forgot about thinking about the product and how my hair was! So Stephens morning was when I noticed it was still really shiny and soft and smelled good even though I was in the kitchen most of Christmas morning.

So this morning I did the whole routine again and by gosh my hair is looking great. It's so shiny and smooth even with the gales out there. After blow drying it barely kinked out which surprised me because since the balayage it has not been staying straight as it used to and was becoming very dry. So now I am in love and I think this will be my go to hair care for the next while anyway.
