My name is Megan-Rose Core, I am a qualified makeup artist based in Dublin/Wexford. Since I was allowed wear a full face of makeup at 13 my obsession has been out of control. I have always been trying new products, buying beauty items I did not need but wanted and so on. At 17 I taught I wanted to be a Microbiologist, yeah I know what your thinking! But at 17 when you think the leaving cert is the most important thing in your life your kind of rushed into making big life decisions. I spent two years in UCD, absolutely hating my course and wondering what I could do if I did not finish my degree.
I finally bit the bullet at 19 and dropped out went to live in England and ran a Irish bar for the next 18 months. Again it was not what wanted to do but I carried on because I still had no clue what I wanted to do and where I wanted to go! After making some life changes I came home to Ireland in late November 2010 still lost!
It was not until my dear friend Noelle told me( not suggested but told) that I was to become a Makeup Artist, baffled by this statement she then proceeded to tell me that she had always wondered why I had never gone down this route, that anytime we had gone out people had always commented on my makeup or makeup I had done on her and also my obsession with makeup was crazy why did I not already do something I had a passion for.
Taking her advice I undertook a course at LA Makeup Academy and qualified in Oct 2011. I could not be happier with life, I have found my true passion. When you do something you really love its true it does not feel like a job. Even after qualifying I am still learning and will continue to learn for the rest of my life. There is so much I want to do and achieve that my dreams are never ending!
So why the Blog? After qualifying I felt like I had so much to tell people about makeup and beauty , that I felt I was nearly going to pop with Facts! I was buying more and more makeup and had stuff to say about it , your family and friends can only take so much makeup conversations! So I created my blog to have a voice, it was not made to become well known heck I did not even think people would read it, it was just so I could get stuff out of my system.
